Sean and Jenna are on their way back from the other side of the island, where
they have met some muck mucks who might be helpful to her relection campaign when suddenly, they hear shouting from out on
the water. They meet Lyle Garrett, a young, good-looking man whose friend has been injured in a surfing accident. Sean dives
into the water and, even though it will ruin her dress, Jenna does as well. After the friend is takent to the hospital, Jenna
has a chance to talk with Lyle. He's an investment banker who handles some very wealthy clients. Jenna's eyes immediately
light up: not only does she need to learn to invest her own money better, ut a contact with wealthy friends could be very
helpful indeed. She feels that Lyle could benefit from her coterie of political contacts as well. Sean, though, is not quite
so easily impressed by him. There was something about his behavior that bothered Sean. Jenna poo poos him, especially when
Lyle, "as a favor," is able to turn her $5,000 into $10,000 with a quick IPO investment. He brings her the money in cash so
she "won't have to pay taxes on it."
Sean checks with Lyle's friend in the hospital. The man seems less concerned
with the fact that he almost lost his life thant in what today's stock market report is. He is also anxious ot see Lyle about
some of his investments which appear to have not gone well. Jenna then calls Sean. She needs him to be with her when she sells
her car for money to make more investments. She wants to sell her care. Sean does not want to have any part in what she id
doing, so he leaves before the car salesman arrives. She is to meet Lyle on board his yacht. She comes with a satchel full
of cash from the sale of her car. They toast with some champagne and then head below deck for some passionate lovemaking.
A while later, Jenna awakens, groggy and hung over. Lyle is nowhere to be seen. Fearing the worst, she contacts Sean-begging
him to keep quiet. He arrives and immediately sums up the scene. Jenna has been ripped off. The atchel with money is gone,
and there is an empty air canister and enough rooom on the boat to hide an inflatable wscape vehicle. They use Lyle's cell
phone to track down where he was last and go after him. He is almost at shore when they catch up. Sean dives onto his boat
and jumps him. Lyles is arrested, but jenna has no legal leg to stand on since he was indeed a licensed broker. He claims
he was taking the money to the bank. jenna has ho recourse, but the feds are getting him for steling the boat. Sean is a gentleman
enough not to say, "I told you so." For her part, Jenna senses that Sean was really jealous of her relationship with Lyle.
Meanwhile, Jason, is about to go off for a weekend of "fun with the
guys," JD and his pal Derek Hart. Derek is the kind of man that JD wishes he could be. He graduated at the top of his class,
one of the youngest partners at a Fortune 500 company, wife and kids. He had it all. Jason hopes that, combined with JD's
mooning over Kekoa, that the weekend isn't a total wast. They arrive at Derek's hotel, which is a mess,a nd find him hanging
in the bathroom. But no worry-it was just a practical joke. Jason thinks the weekend might be fun after all. JD was worried
about his friend. His fears continued as the trip goes on. First, Derek is preternaturally enthusiastic. In fact, Derek spends
much of the early part of the trip mocking JD for being so square. Jason heartily agrees with this. But Derek's behavior becomes
increasingly erratic. In the middele of a conversation, he suddenly reveals the truth. He has lost his job because he sent
a dirty joke by e-mail, and the company decide to make an example of him when one of the secretaries accused him of sexual
harassment. In a self-destructive frenzy, he runs to jump off a cliff by a waterfall, without seeing if the water was deep
enough. JD tries to stop him, and the two wind up going over the edge. Derek immediately surfaces, but JD doesn't. Jason dives
in and the two are able to bring JD back to the surface. JD understands his friend's pain and reminds Derek that he helped
save him. This enough to convince Derek that, inspite of everythin, he still has a lot to live for and he will attempt to
put back the pieces of his life. My Score: 1 Rescue Can
