Brooke Burns was born in Dallas, Texas. As a teenager, Brooke had great promise as a professional ballet dancer,
but her career abruptly ended at 14 after a ski accident. She moved on to a successful modeling career at 16 for both
American and European magazines. She has also done TV ads for Mug Root Beer, Matrix and Carrows Restaurants.
Her TV guest appearances include She Spies (2003); Just Shoot Me (2002/NBC); A Nero
Wolf Mystery in 2002; Men, Women and Dogs (2001); a recurring role as Jennifer, the fantasy girl on FOX's
Allie McBeal and a recurring role as Peg on Out of the Blue.
Brooke is a avid swimmer and her father is a former National Champion swimmer at SMU. She is mentor to PennyLane,
a residental home for abused children and is an environmental activist who strongly opposes finning and wasting
our natural resources.
Brooke landed the role of Jessica "Jessie" Owens on Baywatch for the show's 9th and 10th season. During
that time, she had married the WB's Charmed star Julian McMahon. They met through their agents and
fell in love. At the age of 22, she later officially announced that she would be leaving the show because of her
pregnacy, but made a recurring appearance in the show's 11th and final season. She gave birth to a girl June 2001 and
named her Madison, who now has a sweet tooth. Not long after the birth of their daughter, Brooke and Julian divorced.
In October 2003, Brooke was discovered dating actor Bruce Willis and refused to talk about their relationship.
She felt that relationships in Hollywood were hard enough. But the relationship could not survive due to both
of their busy schedules, resulting in not enough time to see each other. They split in 2004 after 10 months. She remained
friendly with her ex because she has stated that she was still in love with him and adored his daughters. He had been
wonderful to her daughter as well. They remained on good terms.
Brooke has appeared in the movie Shallow Hal (2001) and as host of reality TV game show,
Dog Eat Dog/NBC. She also has appeared on the cover of MAXIM magazine's March 2003 issue
to talk about the show and for a photo shoot and on the sitcom Rock Me Baby/UPN.
Her current projects are drama series North Shore/FOX shot in Hawaii and the movie parody, Death To Supermodels.
