Reason For Becoming A Lifeguard: The death of his young son Benjamin is the reason that he had the drive
to make the waters safe for everyone on the beach and waters.

Frustrations & Chief
Disappointments: The haunting fact that he could not save his son from drowning. He was inconsolable after that
and it eventually resulted in his wife Maggie divorcing him. Cannot commit to a relationship because he cannot let go
of his ex-wife. Getting involved with Jenna Avid, as now she is a constant problem that shows up to destroy him.
Temperament: Until recently, he wore a very hard, unapproachable expression. Now that getting closer
to the team has chipped away some of his iceberg coating, he seems a lot more human. He allows himself to bend
within reason. Gets stern only when necessary. Has a lot of pride and integrity.
Although he is wonderful at solving other peoples problems, it is hard to open
up to others concerning his own problems. Has a hard time asking for help even when he knows that both he and his "ship"
could go down without it. Tries to handle everything all by himself when things get tough or overwhelming. Has a
lot of patience, but wont let anyone push him around. Actually caring and acts as a shoulder to cry on. Will genuinely
listen to the problems of others.
