Home Life Growing Up: Did not have a close relationship with his father.  Father called him a "natural born loser," which hurt greatly.  Due to his father's disappointment, he has been trying to prove that he can be a shining star.
Current Residence: Honolulu, Hawaii
Marital Status: Single
Heritage: N/A (From another planet, maybe?)
Parents: Father, a tyrant
Children: None
Siblings: None
Reason for Becoming A Lifeguard: To stand on a pedestal as a star! To do something important as well as to become and be seen as someone important. To use skills to save lives. Trying to become a permanent member of Sean's Team. it is what he really wants at the moment.
Hobbies/Interests: Night life;skateboarding; surfing; swimming, women.
Sex & Moral Standards: Sexually active. Out of context of a relationship. Likes to bed them and lose them. Dreams and daydreams about beautiful women. Joins Jason at the airport and Tropics Bar to pick up girls. In the beginning he had no respect for women. Learned to respect them as he understood himself more through Sean's guidance.

Disappointed that he was never able to impress Carrie as he has always carried strong feelings for her. Learned to have respect for Carrie in the end after her stalking experience. He tried to get her to stay on at The Center, but fear forced her to leave.
Personal Premise: Do-Over! Do-Over! Do-Over! Do-Over!
Ambition: Was to become a part of Sean's team. His dream to prove himself and become a great lifeguard. To become a great, shining star!
Frustrations & Chief Disappointments: Failing to get the one open spot on Sean's team when they were all tested to get an A-1 rating. After a period of anger, hissing and blaming, decided to work to pay his way through the training again to get the rating needed.  This time hoping to get onto The Team

Later, his getting onto The Team by default although grateful for it.  He wanted to earn his way on. Carrie had quit because of an obsessive stalker, causing her to hastily give up lifeguarding. This created a vacancy.

Unwillingness follow orders to learn which got him into trouble.  Messing up a lot. His hitting J.D. and a victim with a possible neck injury after refusing the order to give up the driver's seat on the Jet Ski and again refusing to go around to get to them. J.D. had shielded the victim, but he ended up in the hospital with serious injuries. The result for Zack was suspension.

Not being able to impress his father. His father was very disappointed in how he turned out and wondered what he did wrong in raising him. His father called Zack a natural born loser. This hurt greatly and he has been trying to prove himself a star when he arrived in Hawaii.
Temperament: Very Easygoing. Generally in a good mood. Uses way too much slang and street talk. Sounds and acts more like a Valley Boy than a Chicagoan.  Very loud and talkative. Can't settle for standing out like a star! He wants to be the sun!
Attitude Toward Life: Don't take it so seriously. Lighten up! Life is one huge party! You can do always get a do-over!
Complexes: Afraid of not getting an A-1 rating. Afraid of not getting chosen for Sean's team. His father's words of his being a born loser still haunts him. Not seemingly able to win the more serious Captain Sean Monroe over.
Extrovert/Introvert: Definitely Extrovert! Loves being around people, especially women.  Children mimic his moves and actions.  Makes a pest of himself.
Abilities: Maneuvering; seemingly fearless of rescue situations no matter how dangerous. Has a foreign language of his own as he "speaks in tongues" 99.9% of the time. Can use his talkative manner to do good in calming a victim.
Qualities: Adventurer; aggressive; attention getter; bold; brave; defiant; disobedient; do-over; dreamer; egoist; exaggerates; inconsiderate; immature; impulsive; instinctive; irresponsible; irritant; loud; manipulative; overconfident; persuader; pushy; selfish; skirt chaser; talkative; trickster; trouble maker; wild.
I.Q.: Average (I really want to say below average given his infant behavior and inability to think before doing anything. But then, why make fans protest by stuffing my mailbox and the message board with complaints?)
