Donna D' Errico was born in Dothan, Alabama and grew up in Columbus, Georgia.
Acting is in the blood of those who love to entertain as children. Things were no different for Donna. Wanting attention,
she entertained her neighborhood with "little shows" and played the part of Virgin Mary in a 3rd grade play. She was also
an athlete, serving as the pitcher for her softball team. In high school, Donna was very shy and quiet. Staying to
herself, she walked with her head down. She became the main target of a very popular group of girls who always harrassed her.
Donna never expected to be a model or an actress. She figured that at 5 feet, 5 inches tall, she was too short to model.
She never thought of herself as particularly good looking.
Donna worked at a variety of jobs. One of the jobs later became unnecessary
tabloid fodder and was blown way out of proportion. She was a stripper for weekend hours for six weeks. the tabloids blew
it up into a three-year full time job just to sell their publications. During this time, Donna had an abusive boyfriend and
he forced her to work at the strip club to earn money for him. If she didn't, he would beat her up. Donna had a child to
think of. She showed strength when she managed to leave the relationship. She settled into jewelry sales, where she worked
as a store manager in Georgia, and then Florida. Later, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada after visiting a friend. She liked
the area, so, she decided to stay. As a single mother of young Rhyan, she owned and operated a limousine service. In
an interview, Donna stated that she wasn't sure if you could even call it a limo service. The service was picking
up people from on Casino to another and charging them $20 per ride. The care wasn't in great condition and Donna wasn't
sure that it was even legal because she didn't have any permits. Donna was all business and bery independent. She did not
date or go out at this time. She had a child and was struggling to make ends meet. She had to have financial assistance because
she could not even afford to buy her baby Huggies.
Donns's big break came when she was discovered by PLAYBOY
magazine's modeling scout while grocery shopping. She was shopping for coffee when she noted a woman following her around
the store. Donna thought that she was a store secuity officer who figured that she was trying to steal something. She
was however, surprised when the woman handed her a business card that said she was a scout for PLAYBOY. They have
them all over the country and looking for models. They got bonuses for each playmate. Donna appeared as the magazine's
Miss September for 1995. She gained international recognition after the issue hit the stands. Soon after that, Donna
decided to try her luck in Hollywood. Three months later, she auditioned for and got a part on Baywatch Nights.
Although she had the role on Nights, it was made clear to her that she was being groomed for Baywatch. Donna
worked very hard to improve her swimming skills, and got in top shape for the physically demanding role.
Later, she met and then married tatooed Motley Crue band member Nikki Sixx.
Donna dated him and they both knew that they'd get married within a few months. Donna stated that she was impressed with
Nikki because he really listened to her. Other men she dated didn't and were only interested in getting into her pants, as
she put it. Nikki already had three children of his own. They live with the couple one half the time, and the other
half with their mother.
Donna graced another PLAYBOY cover in the fall of 1996. Donna also
appeared on the cover of the 1997 issue of INSIDE SPORTS magazine. She and Traci Bingham modeled swimwear. Donna
has appeared in many national TV commercials, and made guest appearances on specials and talk shows such as VIBE and
Keenen Ivory Wayans. Donna's guest appearances include Married With Children (FOX), High Tide, the
WB's Unhappily After After, ABC's Sabrina, the Teenaged Witch. She had a recurring role on the comedy,
Nick Freno (WB).
Donna is best known for her role as Donna Marco, a crossover character from
the Baywatch spinoff, Baywatch Nights. She made her appearance during the show's first season
in 1995-1996 as the new owner of the nightclub, Baywatch Nights. Television promos for the show to introduce Donna
were an overwhelming success.
In October 1996, she was featured in SHAPE magazine with emphasis
on her workout and cross-over to Baywatch. Donna was featured again in SHAPE magazine (December 1998
issue) with Gena Lee Nolin. Donna and Gena had exercise videos available in December during that year's holiday season.
Her workout video was called Power and Strength.
Other credits include TV's Battlebots (2000) as a feature reporter; the feature film
comedy Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002) as a fruit vendor and the film Kiss the Bride (2002) as Officer
Daisy.
Problems began when husband Nikki Sixx had problems with alchohol abuse.
She did not want to endanger the children or herself. In March 2001, Donna separated from her husband after 4 years of marriage
and the birth of their daughter Frankie-Jean Sixx (born on January 2, 2001). She then filed for a divorce. Her husband didn't
want to lose her and went through rehab. She reconciled after he finished rehab.
Outside of acting, the business oriented Donna owns a day spa in Calabasas, California named
Zen Spa.
