Angie Harmon was born on August 10th, 1972 in Dallas Texas. A model from an early age her childhood career. Both
of her parents were models as well.
Angie won the national cover contest for SEVENTEEN magazine at the age of 15. She was chosen out of a group
of 63,000 other teenagers. A car was one of the contest prizes, even though she wasn't old even old enough to drive. The car
sat in the driveway for a year. After a trip to New York to attend a national photo shoot, Angie returned to her studies at
Highland park High School.
Once she graduated in 1990, Angie settled in New York and began her career modeling. Her childhood dream was to become
an actess. Her successful modeling career included appearances in high-end fashion magazines as Vogue, Bazaar, Cosmopolitan,
GQ, Esquire and European magazines. She also modeled on the runway for designers such as Armani, Ralph Lauren and Isaac Mizrahi.
Angie began taking acting lessons with acting coaches between New York and Los Angeles. Her dream came true when David
Hasselhoff and the Executive Producers of Baywatch Nights sat behind her on an airplane flight. They were searching
for an actress to cast for th role of detective Ryan McBride, the female lead for the Baywatch spin-off.
They thought that Angie would be perfect for the role.
Angie was 22 years old when she was hired for the role after audition. In 1995, the same year that Baywatch Nights
debuted, she made guest a appearances on Baywatch and the television series Renegade.
Baywatch Nights lasted two seasons and after that, she starred on the short-lived ABC drama C-16 in
1997, co-starring Eric Roberts. In the same year, Angie made her move to the silver screen. Her first film was the independent
film, Lawn Dogs. The film received a lot of exposure as it was screened at both Toronto Fim Festival and
Sundance Film Festival. Her other credits include Good Advice (2001), Agent Cody Banks as
agent Ronica Miles (2003). Her TV credits include the movies Video Voyeur: The Susan Wilson Story (2002)
and Sudden Fear (2002).
But her big break came in 1998, when she was cast as Assistant District Attorney Abrigail "Abbie" Carmichael on the successful,
long-running NBC courtroom drama Law & Order. She had beat out 84 other actresses to land the role.
She has also appeared as her character on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, a successful spin-off of Law
& Order.
Angie is a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and has been since her high school days. Her other interest include nature as she
hopes to establish a ranch in West Texas for under privileged city children to give them a true outdoor experience. She
divides her time between Los Angeles and New York.
Angie met her future husband, Jason Sehorn, a 6'2", 210-pound All-Pro defensive back for the New York Giants at a Dallas
Cowboys football game. Angie attended the game with a friend. Jason had been a Dallas Coyboys fan all his life and his
mother had spotted and recognized her. She was a huge fan of Law & Order and watched it religiously. They
walked right up to Angie to talk to her, and Mrs. Sehorn did the honors of introducing the couple.
While appearing on The Tonight Show on March 13, 2000, Jason surprised Angie, who was a guest that night, by
coming out on stage, getting down on one knee and proposing. Jay Leno and The Tonight Show
staff were in on the plan. Jay had asked Angie if she was dating anyone special and the reply was that she didn't discuss
her personal life in public. She tearfully accepted the proposal on national television. Her father also made an appearance
to give his blessing. And Elton John, who was also a guest that day, sang a song in honor of the newly engaged couple.
The couple wed on June 9, 2001. Angie then announced that she would go by her married name, Angie Sehorn. Angie did not
move on to the contracted fourth and fifth seasons Law & Order, she was allowed to get out of
her contract. The NBC Producers of the show understood and did not have any problems with the reasons given
them. She left on good terms. She wanted to take the time off to get married and have a honeymoon, which the shooting schedule
would not have allowed. She moved on to other projects. The couple's future plans include four children.
She and husband Jason, now a free safety for the St. Louis Rams recently became proud parents
when little Finley Faith Sehorn was born on October 15, 2003 at 10:55 a.m. at Dallas Hospital. During
this time, Jason had been sidelined indefinitely while recovering from a broken left foot sustained in the opening week of
training camp.
Currently, Angie, who has beautiful skin is a spokesperson for Neutrogena skin care products, doing both
TV commercials and printed ads. Has appeared on the cover the October 2003 issue of Self magazine in her 7th
month of pregnancy. Angie currently lends her voice to the animated TV series Batman Beyond as Chief Commissioner
Barbara Gordon since 2000. Her upcoming projects include Cody Banks 2 (2004) and Bob The Butler
(2004).
